The Sarnia Citizens on Patrol Program is an unregistered, unfunded, volunteer program by the people of Sarnia, for the people of Sarnia, with the sole intention to make the city a safer place for everyone.
This is achieved by putting ordinary people out into the city, armed only with a cell phone, and optionally (And hopefully) a walkie-talkie. (They are a bit faster for communication than waiting for someone to answer a call. They also do not have monthly service fees. Huge benefit, just less range.)
We strive to make a positive impact on our communities, by having a presence that we hope will ultimately make criminals think twice before breaking the law in our city.
If you are interested in helping to accomplish this task, consider signing up here to find a "leader" in your area, who can give you contact details, and area information.
Everyone involved in the SCPP does so because they believe that everyone can help make a difference, and having a safe city is worth their time.
